RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Senior Designer, Metro Pulse

February 2008 – Present

    Primary duties

  • There is the "job description" part of my job: I prepare ads and design feature spreads for this weekly alternative publication in Knoxville, TN.
  • And there is the other part: I've had the chance at this job to explore workflow efficiency and come up with strategies to streamline processes (as an example, I have helped my co-workers in editorial learn InCopy so we take advantage of its integration with InDesign).
  • Metro Pulse (newly bought by The E.W. Scripps Company) has also just switched to a new CMS for its Web site, as well as completely overhauled its design. I have helped manage content since the site changed.
